About HealthyCheckSM Services As the Manager of the HealthyCheck Program, I want to assure you that the test results from your HealthyCheck screening are confidential under California law. We abide by the requirements of that law, and we require in our contracts with HealthyCheck centers and with providers that they also abide by that law. Providers that don't contract with us have an independent obligation under the law to keep this information confidential. HealthyCheck is separate from all other systems and departments inside of Blue Cross and its affiliates, including BC Life & Health Insurance Company, ensuring complete confidentiality of your screening results. You must be healthy to attend a HealthyCheck screening; however, we require that HealthyCheck centers assure that there is a Supervising Physician available should there be an emergency. If one of your screening tests is outside of the "normal" range, your designated physician will receive the results and you will receive a certified letter from HealthyCheck advising you to follow-up with your physician. After completing a HealthyCheck screening and receiving your on-line health risk assessment, you will know if the choices you are making each day place you at risk for health problems. Thank you for choosing HealthyCheck. |
